ARGUS' TEMPEST TE20B PROTECTS POWER INVESTMENT

Argus Technologies' new outdoor battery enclosure, the Tempest Te20b, allows more battery power in a compact footprint. The environmentally controlled outdoor enclosure can house 10 battery strings at 24 VDC or five strings at 48 VDC. Each enclosure can accommodate up to 20 batteries in a single cabinet solution at the maximum battery configuration, according to the company. Anderson Power Products has added the Power Drawer series of connectors to its product family. The lineup features blind mating connectors for 35 A or 75 A applications that are meant to be used on N + 1 power supply and rectifier systems. Pin and socket contacts are available for both connectors with crimp, solder cup or printed circuit-board termination. In addition, the connector's pin contacts can be specified for first-mate and last-mate connection, allowing the electronic system to be grounded and mating electronically verified before the power circuits are energized.

ANDREW CORP. PRODUCT WEATHERPROOFS CABLE CONNECTIONS

Andrew Corp. has announced what it is calling the industry's first reusable weatherproofing system for cable connections. The WeatherShield Connector Protection Enclosures products protect connections between ½-inch jumpers and devices such as diplexers and tower-mounted amplifiers. Also shielded from the elements are in-line connections between ½-inch jumpers and 1⅝ inch, 1¼ inch and ⅞ inch coaxial cable feeders. The WeatherShield products protect connectors from high temperatures and moisture while also helping to dampen vibration that can loosen connector interfaces over time.
