Sprint will add more than 10,000 new locations via agreements with Pronto Networks, Fiberlink Communications, Opti-Fi, Nomadix and Quiconnect. The agreement with Pronto will enable bilateral roaming across both companies' respective networks. Pronto's network comprises hundreds of U.S. access sites including hotels, business centers, shopping malls, RV parks, cafés and city-wide hot zones. The Nomadix deal adds another 350 hot spots for general public access networks.
By partnering with Fiberlink, Sprint adds some 3800 new hot spots targeting mobile professionals, while its deal with Opti-Fi includes hot spots in 30 U.S. airports. Finally, Sprint extends its global reach via London-based VNE Quiconnect and its international network of over 6000 travel venues.
