The Airpath agreement brings 3300 nationwide and international locations to SBC FreedomLink's roaming network, in addition to the 6400 national hot spots that SBC offers.

Boingo, a Wi-Fi service aggregator, will add more than 3400 roaming hot spots to its service offering.

The two agreements represent both expanded revenue opportunities for SBC, when other customers roam onto its network, and greater convenience for SBC Wi-Fi subscribers.

SBC is offering its DSL subscribers free access to Wi-Fi through May 31 and will charge $1.99 per month thereafter.
