In acquiring Blue Lava, Jamdat lands an exclusive 15-year worldwide license to publish the wireless version of the perennially popular game "Tetris," which it will begin distributing in North America, Latin America and India. Jamdat will also acquire rights to publish "Tetris" in Europe, China, Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand when current licenses expire at year's end. The purchase is the latest in a recent spending spree that in January saw Jamdat acquire Downtown Wireless, a developer of mobile casino games, as well as invest in Chinese wireless entertainment distributor C-Valley.
