Sprint’s announcement with Sirius marks the first time that a mobile carrier is offering such a service in combination with a satellite radio provider. The Sirius Music service offers customers with Sprint’s multimedia handsets unlimited access to 20 commercial-free music channels, plus a channel devoted to exclusive artist interviews and performances. SIRIUS Music also includes a wide assortment of music genres.

The SIRIUS Music channel is the latest of three streaming music channels available to users of Sprint PCS Vision handsets. Customers can purchase SIRIUS Music by typing in channel 23 in the Sprint Media Player or by going to the Music & Radio folder and selecting the new channel; the cost is $6.95 per month for unlimited access.
