MetroFi launches San Francisco coverage

MetroFi, the builder and operator of municipal Wi-Fi networks, is launching of three new wireless "hot zones" in San Francisco this week as part of the city's TechConnect program, MetroFi announced today.

The hot zones use access points mounted on light poles to cover the areas in and around San Francisco's Civic Center, Ferry Building and Portsmouth Square in the Financial District.

MetroFi also has similar hot zones in Cupertino and Santa Clara, Calif.
