Clearing and settlement services streamline processing of roamer billing data because Syniverse acts as the single point of contact between roaming partners. Syniverse will provide that capability for all of Cingular’s GSM services beginning in January of 2006, said Ed Evans, CEO of Syniverse.

Syniverse also announced that it is implementing a mobile marketing application with LM&O Advertising for the Army National Guard. Under the program, the Guard will use opt-in short codes for potential recruits to request information about enlisting, said Brad Blanken, director of mobile data for Syniverse. Syniverse’s technology is also used to distribute Amber Alerts to mobile devices.

At the CTIA show, Syniverse also announced an alliance with Preferred Voice to offer ringback services to mobile carriers, and signed three unnamed carriers to roaming deals for 1xRTT/1xEV-DO services.
