Sprint completes 2006 scheduled Rev. A rollout
Sprint today said it has completed the Revision A upgrade to its EV-DO networks in ten more markets, reaching the 20-cities rollout plan it scheduled for the end of the year.

Starting with San Diego in October, Sprint performed the software upgrade in several mid-sized and larger cities across the country in the last month, but today it officially turned up some of the largest metro areas of the country, including New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
The Rev. A network increases both the upstream and downstream capacities of the EV-DO, making it a true two-way broadband network capable of supporting real-time multimedia applications like VoIP, video conferencing and multi-player gaming. The enhanced network now covers 60 million people.
In addition to the six cities mentioned above, Sprint has the Rev. A upgrade in Baltimore; Boston; Buffalo, N.Y.; Denver; Detroit; Hartford, Conn.; Kansas City; Las Vegas; Milwaukee; Newark/Trenton, N.J.; Pittsburgh; Providence, R.I.; Sacramento, Calif.; Salt Lake City; and Seattle.
