Coupled with a recently announced deal with Best Buy, Amp’d has taken steps to open up much more extensive sales channels in the last month after braving its six months of operations selling only through its homepage. Best Buy will begin selling Amp’d phones and plans this summer at its stores and on its Web site. Meanwhile InPhonic will not only carry Amp’d on its independent resellers site Wirefly, but also potentially sell the handsets and service across other white label retail portals it powers for other companies.

Amp’d runs a youth-oriented mobile virtual network operator using Sprint’s CDMA 1X EV-DO network and a raft of content partnerships, giving it one of the most entertainment content-and data-heavy services in the industry.
