Aerial Communications recently used dry cleaning to illustrate the concept of crisp and clean communications to customers. The carrier provided 20 Kansas City metropolitan-area cleaners with 50,000 hangers and garment bags sporting the company logo and a limited-time free trial offer.

"This is an opportunity for us to get our message to business consumers and professionals," said Shelley McThomas-Bryant, Aerial Communications head of local marketing.

The idea was one of the first in this market, and the local response rate will determine whether the approach will spread to Aerial markets around the nation.

"We tend to piggy-back each other with our marketing and advertising ideas," said McThomas-Bryant.

Consumer demand will continue to be the driving force for Aerial's future marketing strategies.
