It requires opposable thumbs to use wireless push-to-talk, so it only makes sense that there would be opposing views on the service as well. According to Telephia's vast pool of business wireless users, PTT rates right up there with instant messaging as the wireless application they believe would most improve productivity. The ones who make the decisions on whether to buy wireless services, however, aren't so convinced. The purchasing and technology staffers Telephia polled — always a more pessimistic bunch — felt e-mail or Internet would be much more useful. So don't expect the suited masses to start imitating Nextel pitchman Dennis Franz anytime soon — unless they begin to wear short-sleeved dress shirts and ties to work every day, that is.
