Prepping for CTIA Wireless 2001

If you’re a last-minute procrastinator, take heed. Wireless Review has information you need regarding CTIA Wireless 2001. From March 20 to March 22, the Sands Expo and Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas will be filled with more than 700 exhibitors, approximately 30,000 attendees and more than 200 speakers.

The exhibitors will cover all segments of the wireless voice and data industries that include: content aggregators; content providers; fixed-wireless providers; ISPs; manufacturers that feature components, hardware and infrastructure; OEMs; service providers; software developers; tower/siting companies; and wireless portals.

Most of the keynote speakers have content-based backgrounds. They include: Steve Ballmer, Microsoft president & CEO; Craig Barrett, Intel president & CEO; Michael Dell, Dell Computer chairman & CEO; Jerry Yang, Yahoo co-founder & chief Yahoo; Christopher Galvin, Motorola chairman & CEO; and Kurt Hellstrom, Ericsson president.

For three days, attendees can choose from a variety of sessions, keynotes and tutorials as well as educational programs. March 19 will include special-interest seminars including Andy Seybold’s Wireless Data University, which covers the wireless Internet.
