Lightning Protection
Low-cost lightning protection now is available with Narda’s coaxial T-junction that provides quarterwave short circuit to ground for the branches. Model N53GK50700 rejects any signal outside the cellular domestic bandwidth (81MHz to 956MHz) and deflects components of the signal to ground. It is equipped with Type N connectors and is available from stock.

Synthesizer
Anritsu’s MG3690A synthesizer is a single-instrument solution that combines the bandwidths of separate RF and microwave signal generators with the spectral purity and frequency stability of a phase-locked source. The MG3690A’s ability to achieve crystal-oscillator-like phase noise over the 0.1Hz-to-40GHz range enables a variety of laboratory and production applications that previously required separate RF and microwave synthesizers. It achieves frequency resolution of 0.1Hz over the full frequency range, with leveled output power adjustable in 0.01dB steps from -102dBm to +17dBm. Full band, ultra-low-phase noise is achieved by integrating a digital downconverter (DDC) into the unit. The DDC generates 10MHz to 2.2GHz single sideband phase noise characteristics that are typically 30dB to 50dB better than most microwave synthesizers and comparable to high-performance RF synthesizers.
