Wireless Solution
Allied Telesyn has released wireless networking solutions, the
AT-WL2411 access point transmitter and AT-WR2411 receiver. The advanced
security and management features of the AT-WL2411 create a wireless
network that performs like a wired network, but users can take their
connectivity with them. A user of any portable computer or other mobile
device with a PCMCIA type II slot can pop in an AT-WR2411 PC card and
roam anywhere in the enterprise while maintaining a constant, secure
network connection. An IP tunneling feature allows large wireless LANs
to span multiple subnets. One AT-WR2411 can serve as an access point to
multiple devices at any given time. Based on the 802.11b specification,
the AT-WR2411 PC card offers a solution with full support for both
40-bit and 128-bit wired equivalent privacy security, with zero
throughput degradation.

Battery Analyzers
The Cadex 7400 is a programmable battery analyzer, reconditioner and
charger. It features Quicktest, a program that tests battery health in
three minutes. Sixteen service programs support routine and complex
tasks. The 7400 services four batteries simultaneously and handles
Li-Ion/Polymer, NiMH, NiCd and lead-acid chemistries. Four amperes per
station reduces charge and discharge time for larger batteries. Cadex
offers more than 700 custom-built battery adapters, and programmable
smart cables support batteries when no adapter is on hand. A printer
allows users to generate service reports and battery labels.
Batteryshop software provides a PC interface to control and monitor the
analyzer. The software automatically configures the analyzer by
clicking on a selected battery from the database. Batteryshop supports
up to 120 C7400 analyzers for simultaneous service of 480
batteries.
