Tektronix's IS-136 test feature is an addition to the CMD80 Radiocommunication Test Set. The CMD80 with Option B84 provides test coverage for the IS-136 standard and offers capabilities such as half-rate channel support, peak and statistical adjacent-channel power measurements, and carrier switching-time measurements. The IS-136 option is installed integrally within the CMD80 mainframe and does not increase the space required for rack-mounting or detract from the instrument's portability. The option is available with CMD80 instruments or as an upgrade to existing equipment.

PCS Fault Finder
Zetron's model Z907 PCS Fault Finder provides fast notification of power-amplifier and antenna problems at PCS sites. The instrument continuously monitors forward RF power and antenna return loss in the 1.8GHz to 2GHz frequency band. It offers user-adjustable thresholds that generate an alarm output when forward RF power or antenna return loss falls below the threshold value.
Alarm outputs can be integrated with existing PCS site-monitoring equipment to report alarm conditions to central locations. Other features include in-line measurement with less than 0.2dB insertion loss, compact dimensions, factory-calibrated fast detector with wide dynamic range and easy installation.
