U kids R crazy

We all know children can be cruel, but this is ridiculous: The latest craze among wireless youth is SMS bullying. According to a recent survey by British children's charity NCH, 16% of young people said they've received bullying or threatening text messages. Tough-guy wannabes love this kind of warfare because the technology affords them some anonymity. Also, by using mobile devices they can threaten their targets anywhere, anytime — no longer is bullying restricted to school hallways and playgrounds. Of course, the whole idea of anonymous, electronic mobile bullying smacks of the most extreme cowardice imaginable. If you're going to threaten somebody, at least have the guts to do it to their face and with your name attached. And if any of you punks want to discuss this matter with me further, you know where to find me.
