Voiceglo disputes Sprint Nextel patent suit

Voiceglo Holdings has issued a statement disputing a lawsuit filed this week by Sprint Nextel alleging that Voiceglo and Vonage had infringed on seven patents related to voice over packet technology that are held by Sprint Nextel.

“Voiceglo’s technology is unique, proprietary and patent-pending,” said Edward Cespedes, president of theglobe.com and Voiceglo Holdings, in a statement. “Though wer are still reviewing the complaint, we believe that it has no merit, and we believe that in due course, the courts will agree with us and will settle the matter in our favor.”

Sprint Nextel is seeking injunctions against both Voiceglo and Vonage, as well as damages.
