Unlike its relationship with Sprint, the Amp’d/Telus tie-up is not a standard MVNO resale deal. Telus will run the service, bill the customer and keep its brand at the forefront, in addition to supplying the CDMA 1X EV-DO networks that will power the service’s music download, gaming and video content. The arrangement is more of a licensing deal, in which Telus will use the Amp’d trademark and have access to its exclusive content deals.

Telus said it would launch the service in early 2007.
