David Vorhaus is a research associate in Yankee Group’s Enabling Technologies Service Provider group with an expertise in communications network infrastructure. Vorhaus is focused on understanding new technologies and trends that affect the carrier infrastructure market such as IMS, Carrier Ethernet and industry consolidation as well as equipping service providers and vendors with the knowledge to capitalize on these infrastructure market changes.

Prior to joining Yankee Group, Vorhaus worked in the Electrical Engineering Department at Stanford University, field testing and implementing new wireless technologies. He has also conducted research on health policy and voting demographic trends while working at the University of North Carolina Department of Public Policy.

Vorhaus is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Political Science and History.

Carol Wilson returned to Telephony in 2004 as editor-at-large, and was named editor-in-chief in 2007. She has been covering the telecommunications industry for the past 20 years. Over that period of time, she has been a founding editor of two magazines--Inter@ctive Week and The Net Economy--as well as a news and information Web site, Broadband Edge. Carol began her telecom career as news editor at Telephony in 1985, becoming Editor three years later.
