With NetCracker’s Inventory Provisioning and OSS Engine in place, Sprint can now evolve its legacy platforms to its next-generation environment. NetCracker got high marks from technology executives at Sprint. Kathy Walker, chief network officer at Sprint, said the company’s user community for these products provided her with positive feedback, and Chief Information Officer Dick LeFave said in a statement that NetCracker is providing Sprint with increased functionality that furthers its ability to meet customer needs.
Sanjay Mewada, vice president of strategy at NetCracker, said vendors don’t often get to talk about all their Tier 1 service provider deployments, and getting the public endorsements of Sprint’s technology executives was a testimonial to the success of the deployment.
“We had to be overwhelmingly superior,” Mewada said. “If you don’t achieve a high level of execution, you’re just a software company.”
Mewada said the deployment was for Sprint’s entire fulfillment value chain and has NetCracker’s inventory at its core.
In October, NetCracker said that for the third year in a row, the company has more than doubled its worldwide personnel to meet the growing demand for NetCracker solutions. It opened a London office to support its European expansion and recent implementations in the Netherlands, the UK and France.
