The research, to be formally presented this afternoon by Michael Render, shows the take rates for fiber continue to increase and are above 50% on average.

Verizon continues to be the market leader. Richard Lynch, CTO and executive vice president of Verizon, said Tuesday his company’s FiOS buildout will pass 15 million home this year, offering connections of up to 50 megabits per second downstream and 20 Mb/s upstream. FiOS take rates are 28% for Internet service and 25% for video, Lynch said. Verizon now has 3.1 million FiOS Internet customers and 2.5 million FiOS TV customers.
