BDC has worked with Lucent and Commnet Supply before to deploy its 1X RTT network. The Hamilton, Bermuda carrier already has Lucent Flexent CDMA2000 base stations in place that it will upgrade with EV-DO hardware and software.

BDC, Bermuda's largest cellular carrier, operates under the CellularOne brand. Its planned EV-DO deployment follows a handful of other such deployments in Asia, Latin America and a two-market deployment by Verizon Wireless that the U.S. carrier giant soon will expand into nationwide availability.

Commnet Supply, headquartered in Burr Ridge, Ill., is a distributor of new and used wireless infrastructure equipment and services. The company's capabilities range from single component sales through multi-vendor total network solutions, as well as asset redeployment solutions.
