Telular's Phonecell SX5D GSM/GPRS fixed phone and SX5E fixed wireless terminal can now be used on the carrier's network to replace wireline phone service inside a residence or small office. The SX5D supports voice, SMS and GSM packet data applications, while the SX5E adds analog fax, analog modem and a high-speed serial port to those capabilities. The products can be plugged into existing phone jacks.

The vendor also launched at the show a CDMA version of its fixed wireless phone--the SX5P CDMA2000 1X model.
