The vendor’s XAP suite uses automated voice technology based on the Voice Extensible Markup Language standard, and the SMS Peer-to-Peer Protocol to generate the multi-channel alerts. The voice alerts let Alltel’s subscribers interact in real-time with the system using automated speech technologies, while SMS alerts contain an embedded customer service callback number.

“These types of innovative applications promise to reduce subscriber churn and build revenue through the use of high quality, timely, personalized information delivered wirelessly,” said John Sims, CEO of 724 Solutions, in a statement announcing the Alltel relationship.
