Zaina will be new Universal Service CEO
Lisa Zaina will become the CEO of the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) effective March 1 after being appointed to the position by FCC Chairman Michael Powell.

Highly regarded as the senior legal advisor to FCC Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein, Zaina will replace Cheryl Parrino as head of the company that administers the large fund established to ensure that essential telecommunications are affordable to all Americans.
Powell announced Zaina’s new position during the FCC meeting last week, although the appointment was made official on Jan. 20.
