Windvine grabs more venture cash

Widevine Technologies, a vendor of content security for the video over IP market said it has closed a $13 million in venture funding round led by Vantage Point Venture Partners. Widevine's existing investors, Constellation Ventures, Pacesetter Capital Group, and Phoenix Capital Partners also participated. As part of the round, Widevine has appointed Cynthia Ringo, managing director of VantagePoint and Duncan Davidson, venture partner with VantagePoint to its board.
