Williams forecasts 20 percent growth

Predictions from other carriers notwithstanding, Williams Communications today said it expects first quarter revenue of between $328 million and $347 million, which would represent at least a 20% growth rate in year-over-year revenue.

For full-year 2002, Williams is targeting a year-over-year revenue growth rate of between 15 percent and 30 percent in its Network segment and 25-40 percent for its Emerging Markets segment. As part of an overall effort to be EBITDA-positive by the end of the year, the company will maintain net capital expenditure (net of proceeds from asset sales) to less than $100 million.--Vince Vittore, Executive Editor
