Wave7 boosts C round to $30.5M

Wave7 Optics, maker of an Ethernet-based fiber-to-the-premises system, has added another $15 million to its C round of funding. The additional funding brings Wave7’s C round to $30.5 million and comes from existing investors Advanced Technology Partners, Armada Venture Partners, Lucent Venture Partners, Mellon Ventures, Morgenthaler Ventures and Oak Investment Partners. Lucent Venture Partners invested in Wave7’s first three funding rounds, which totaled $47 million. The vendor’s customers include municipalities, cable operators and independent telcos such as Indiana’s Rochester Telephone and rural Missouri co-op Chariton Valley Telephone.
