Verio offering lets enterprises build infrastructure on demand
NTT Communications’ wholly owned subsidiary Verio has launched the latest phase of its enterprise hosting strategy to extend the range of managed hosting products for midsize and large enterprises. The new framework allows customers to build infrastructure on demand by drawing on modular technology building blocks, tiered support and enhanced services.

”We took our products and services and repositioned them into the three key areas of the hosting side,” said Paul Montoya, NTT/Verio’s vice president of marketing and strategic enterprise hosting. The advancements are three-pronged.
The new offering re-engineers Verio’s rollout offerings to meet the “smaller, less sophisticated needs” of customers,” said Montoya.
Modular hosting, he said, “is a rearticulation of our more complex dedicated hosting environment. We've created more of a service-on-consultative approach to the business.”
Verio engages in customer-developed field engineering with “a standardized, repeatable product and service, but a solution that’s tailored to their specific needs and tends to be more sophisticated,” Montoya said.
The third prong is co-location where “we have a variety of services for customers looking for either a hybrid solution or they just want to have full control and management of their servers,” Montoya said.
The new offering is aimed at a changing marketplace.
“Folks are looking for more services. They’re looking for more of an outsourcing solution … in lower end markets and the smaller segments and mid-markets and small companies,” Montoya said.
