Usurf picks up cable assets

Usurf America, which has concentrated most of its efforts on providing high-speed access over Wi-Fi and other unlicensed spectrum, today said it has acquired cable plant and equipment serving Elbert and Douglas counties southeast of Denver. Usurf’s subsidiary, NeighborLync, made the actual purchase and will run the plant, which was in foreclosure. The company will be the lone wireline cable operator in the two counties, which is among the fast growing and wealthiest in the state.
