Ucentric, Samsung rehearse with Comcast
Ucentric Systems will test its Whole Home Music 1.0 with Samsung Electronics and Comcast. Ucentric's application, integrated into the set-top box, lets consumers access digital music using any TV and direct the music playback to any set of networked speakers in any room in the house. The trial is scheduled to launch later this month and is an extension of the ongoing multi-TV DVR (digital video recorder) trial with Comcast and Samsung in the Philadelphia area.
