The resignations of William J. Rouhana Jr., chairman and CEO, and Nathan Kantor, president and chief operating officer were announced in conjunction with the news of the company’s asset auction. Winstar said it intends to ask a bankruptcy judge to establish procedures for an auction to be conducted in early December. The company entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April amid the industry downturn.

Frank Jules, Winstar’s current president and chief operating officer of U.S. operations, will assume the position of acting CEO. Steven Magyar, currently a director of Winstar, will take over as acting chairman.
