Launched as part of a trio of new services, the Automatic Replenishment Program is designed to reduce the risk to retailers of carrying too much inventory and covers almost the entire TESSCO line. As part of the program, retailers’ inventory systems report back to TESSCO at regular intervals, allowing the store owner to replace accessories without having to complete the time-consuming inventory process.
“They’re housing all this inventory, and a lot of times they don’t even know what's out [on the sales floor],” said Tina Corner, senior vice president of sales for TESSCO. “This has eliminated a lot of the work.”
Retailers that participate in the program send an FTP file, which also adds an element of security to the process.
TESSCO also created a condensed version of its product catalog for retailers. TESSCO’s full line includes 34,000 solutions. Additionally the company introduced a new line of Motorola OEM accessories designed for IDEN phones.
