BtoB MAGAZINE LISTS TELEPHONYONLINE IN THE MEDIA POWER 50

TelephonyOnline is One of 10 Web Sites Selected for the Media Power 50

May 28, 2003 – CHICAGO – PRIMEDIA’s Telephony announced today that TelephonyOnline was selected as one of only 10 business-to-business Web sites included in this year’s Media Power 50. The Media Power 50 is BtoB magazine’s annual listing of the best business-to-business venues for marketing messages. The BtoB Media Power 50 list is posted on the magazine's Web sites at: www.btobonline.com.

TelephonyOnline’s inclusion in the Media Power 50 solidifies the success of our online efforts in reaching telecom professionals,” said Mark Hickey, publisher of Telephony. “This speaks to the power of our informational range and ability to create unique online products for readers and advertisers alike. No other service provider industry publication—in print or online—was included in the Media Power 50.”

Telephony redesigned the TelephonyOnline site in January 2003. As part of the redesign, TelephonyOnline now has enhanced navigation tools for quicker access to news and technical articles and also a Vendor Research Library, which provides white papers from industry vendors at no charge to the reader. Webinars are another new exciting technology utilized on TelephonyOnline. Hosted by editorial staff members, Webinars provide access to discussion panels that further enhance a user’s ability to view new technology or subject matters at their desktop. These sponsored web casts offer the service provider industry another comprehensive information resource for the telecom sector.

Telephony’s Web site continues to prove a successful extension of our product and brand name in the industry,” said Jason Meyers, editorial director of Telephony. “TelephonyOnline has become its own resource of intelligent information for industry leaders in their professional lives.”

TelephonyOnline has seen a 60% growth in page views and user sessions over the past year. The site is continuing to see a steady growth in traffic, due to an expanded presence on Google and search engines such as Yahoo.com and MSN.com. “Our advertisers have enjoyed the growth in impressions and continue to invest their online marketing presence with TelephonyOnline,” Hickey said.
