Sunrise brightens outlook for VoIP call generation and testing

Sunrise Telecom has beefed up its NeTracker test platform for VoIP networks to support call generation of millions of VoIP calls per hour. Sunrise, a provider of service verification equipment that pre-qualifies, verifies and diagnoses telecommunications, cable TV and Internet networks, also will support next-generation technologies including SCTP, SIGTRAN, H.235 and ATM layers AAL2 and AAL5. It enables network operators and equipment manufacturers to verify their implementations of SIGTRAN (Signaling Transport Protocol), an emerging technology important to bridging the PSTN with the IP network. The latest release of NeTracker also offers a full scripting language that enables users to cut testing time by automating complex test routines for both call signaling and voice quality. It simulates various network faults to qualify network performance under adverse conditions and allows users to customize their results using both configurable triggers and measurements for a more thorough analysis over multiple protocols and interfaces.
