Stoddard leaving AT&T for NCTA post

In what could be a bellwether move, considering the status of AT&T Broadband, Senior Public Relations Vice President Rob Stoddard is leaving Jan. 2 to become senior vice president, communications and public affairs at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association [NCTA]. In his new post, Stoddard will be reunited with NCTA President-CEO Robert Sachs, with whom he worked at Continental Cablevision.

Stoddard had joined AT&T Broadband as part of the acquired Continental Cablevision-MediaOne management group, moving from MediaOne’s Boston base to Denver. At Continental and MediaOne, he worked with the newly named AT&T Broadband management team, including President & CEO William Schleyer and with AT&T board member Amos Hostetter, former owner of Continental.
