Sprint PCS, Everypath to storm the enterprise
Everypath this week revealed its first carrier relationship--a deal with Sprint PCS. The company believes its mobile application platform can mobilize business customers’ existing enterprise data and applications quickly, as well as let them add new services once the demand is there.

“Our technology sets us apart. Until recently, anyone coding HTML out of a garage could say they have an anywhere, anytime solution,” said Scott Weller, senior director of telecom for Everypath. “Ours is a technology we have worked on for some time [and is available today], so we have a speed-to-market advantage and flexibility.”
“A lot of carriers had said they would partner with anybody. Now they are coming around, thinking they will only partner with those that have been around.”
Compared with some wireless application service provider companies, Everypath could be considered a veteran. The company was founded in 1999 and has attracted almost $100 million in investments.
The companies plan to jointly approach enterprise customers, Weller said. In addition both companies will be involved in determining which additional applications specific business customers want.
“With Sprint, we will go through a discovery process to discover exactly which services different customers might need,” he said. “Sprint PCS has a huge enterprise customer base and [that target market] is just starting to explore creating wireless data applications.”
Although this is Everypath’s first announced carrier relationship, it plans to announce two additional wireless carrier relationships in the next three weeks, Weller said.
