Sprint employs Vindigo guides

Sprint PCS is now offering the popular Vindigo City Guide service from applications developer Vindigo studios to its PCS Vision customers.

The city guides offer information and full-color maps to public services such as automated teller machines, post offices and gas stations. The guides also provide real-time updates to local entertainment options, including restaurant reviews, movie reviews and show times, shopping, and museum exhibits. Some of this information is supplied be media outlets such as The New York Times and The Washington Post.

The Vindigo city guide is available on select Java-enabled PCS Vision phones for $2.99 for a 30-day license.

Vindigo Studios develops applications for multiple mobile data platforms, including BREW, Java, Palm Powered, and Pocket PC devices.
