SIP Forum to test phones
The SIP Forum awarded PurplePacket and iptel.org contracts to develop an interoperability test tool for the various types of SIP phones around the world. The Forum, which was formed to promote use of the protocol, is pushing a standardized methodology to test SIP phones, which will lead to lower overall equipment costs.
