SIA announces new officers and reps
ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) Board of Directors announced new officers and executive committee representatives for 2001.

Larry D. Atlas, vice president of government relations for Loral Space and Communications and 2000 vice chair, will serve as the new SIA chair.
Peter Hadinger, director of telecommunications strategy for TRW will serve as vice chair; and Jeffrey Trauberman, director of information and communications systems for The Boeing Company, will serve a second term as SIA treasurer.
The three executive committee representatives on the board will be Kalpak Gude, vice president of government and regulatory affairs for PanAmSat Corp.; Suzanne Hutchings, regulatory counsel for Teledesic; and Gerald Musarra, vice president of government and regulatory affairs for Lockheed Martin Corp.
"We are excited to work with such an experienced team as SIA looks at new growth opportunities in 2001," said SIA executive director Clayton Mowry.
