Senate compromises on anti-spam legislation

U.S. Senators have reached a compromise that paves the way for the Federal Trade Commission to create a Do-Not-Spam registry similar to its Do-Not-Call registry that took effect earlier this month. "Americans scored their first major victory today in the effort to take the Internet back from spammers," Schumer said.
