SBS purchases Netia/iNews workstations

CLARET France -- Special Broadcasting Services (SBS) has recently signed a contract with Netia and iNews for the installation of over 250 digital audio workstations.

SBS is an Australian National multicultural and multilingual radio and television station, broadcasting in 68 languages.

With the addition of SBS, iNews, in 55 Asia Pacific newsrooms to-date, advances its presence in the Asia Pacific region.

SBS’ Sydney and Melbourne Radio stations will be equipped with two Radio-Assist acquisition-to-broadcast systems.

The two sites are networked (8 x 64 kbps dedicated link) to exchange their sound programs.

"Our partnership with Netia was forged on the common belief that it is essential for broadcasters to operate with fully integrated technologies in order to maximize newsroom efficiency and improve time to market," said Matt Danilowicz, president and CEO of iNews. Added Christophe Carniel, president and CEO of NETIA, "iNEWS’ competence with Active X Protocols allowed us to easily integrate Radio-Assist with iNEWS, resulting in a highly ergonomic production tool for journalists."
