FlashPoint is working with Sprint PCS on the launch of the service to business customers, which is expected to happen later this year.

“We are thrilled to be an enabler of this technology that will allow Sprint PCS to carry the service to the vertical channels that they already have relationships with,” said Bill Ray, director of marketing with FlashPoint.

The service ultimately will allow customers to send images wirelessly using a digital camera—about the size of a 35-millimeter camera—that is connected to a Sprint PCS Internet-enabled phone.

“This is an advantage for Sprint, because they can use our technology platform, customize it they way they want it and then brand it for their customers,” Ray said.

While the carrier is the first to align itself with FlashPoint and its digital technology, FlashPoint is speaking with other carriers, he said.
