Samsung in synch

Samsung Electronics has tapped Symmetricom, a major provider of synchronization and timing solutions for network elements, to supply synchronization modules for Samung’s WCDMA base stations being deployed SK Telecom in Korea. The $1 million+ order, to begin shipping this quarter, will support the first phase of SK Telecom’s WCDMA network migration. In June, SK Telecom announced that it selected Samsung as a primary equipment provider for the WCDMA project. Services will launch on the network by the end of this year.
