Samsung signs mobile-phone deal with Sprint PCS
Samsung Electronics signed a long-term contract with Sprint PCS to provide 2.5G mobile phones. The deal is valued at $1.5 billion.

The Seoul, South Korea-based company will sell 3 million units of cdma2000 lx-ready phones to Sprint by the end of 2003. Under a separate deal, Samsung has provided 8 million mobile phones to Sprint since 1997.
