Qwest Communications and GE Medical Systems are teaming to form an applications service provider for the medical community.

GE will offer ASP services to hospitals and health-care systems for the transfer and storage of electronic medical data and images. The data, which can be securely accessed off site, will be stored and managed in Qwest’s Web-hosting centers. The ASP is expected to generate more than $250 million in top-line revenue.
