Qpass acquires Ireland’s Altamedius

Qpass, a vendor of mobile commerce support software, has acquired Altamedius, a Dublin, Ireland-based provider of multi-channel payment technology, in a deal that will expand Qpass’ presence in the European market.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The technology provided by Altamedius will augment Qpass’ current offerings for international carriers, while the current customers of Altamedius gain access to the Qpass Prosperity Series software, which they can use to manage their entire m-commerce businesses, including content partnerships, value-added services and payments to creating service bundles and supporting customer care activities.

Prosperity Series can be a fundamental driver of premium data and service delivery programs, enabling product offerings such as ring tones, games, premium messaging, Wi-Fi, enterprise applications and other services.
