Opera challenges MS set-tops

Opera Software took a direct shot at Microsoft launching a Linux-based set-top box that it claims is one-third the cost of one running Microsoft's operating system. Using Opera's software turns the set-top in much more than a Web browser because it can be used as a HTML presentation engine that executes the majority of navigational functions and renders content. Opera claims it can produce a set-top with its software for around $100 per unit.
