OpenTV expands ITV footprint with two acquisitions

OpenTV is acquiring competing interactive TV provider ACTV in a stock-for-stock merger and separately buying complementary ITV vendor Wink Communications from Liberty Broadband Interactive Television for about $101 million in cash. Liberty acquired Wink only last month for about the same price.
