Online game hits warp speed

The online gaming market will hit almost $4 billion by the end of 2008, according to a report from In-Stat/MDR. Helping the industry along will be the development of advertising-based revenue, which will help offset the current cost of online gaming. Those costs are around $1 per hour compared to about 13 cents per hour, which is what the average U.S. consumer pays for subscriptions.
